Sébastien CHABAL pays tribute to the iconic international player Jonah LOMU with a clothing collection approved by Nadene Lomu.

“1995, I was just starting out in rugby. 1995, Jonah Lomu burst onto the rugby scene during the World Cup in South Africa. A revolution began in our sport with its first global superstar. Personally, at the time, I watched it from a distance. Rugby was, for me, just a way to let off steam with friends at the amateur level. A few years later, and even today, I realize how lucky I was to have met this man, this player, this icon. Life always has wonderful surprises in store for us. 

Having the opportunity to develop a range of products with my brand, Ruckfield, with the approval and support of Nadene Lomu, to help perpetuate the story of an extraordinary, unique player makes me proud. Thank you for everything, Jonah, says Sébastien Chabal.

The Lomu Legacy International U18 Sevens Tournament continues to build momentum as an international youth rugby sevens event created to honour Jonah Lomu’s legacy and inspire the next generation of young athletes.

As the owner and guardian of the Jonah Lomu name, image, likeness, brand, and legacy, it is both an honour and a responsibility for me to carry and  ensure Jonah’s legacy is protected, respected, and used in a way that creates genuine positive impact. Through the Lomu Legacy International U18 Sevens Tournament and the work of The Jonah Lomu Foundation, Jonah’s legacy is being carried forward with purpose, creating opportunities for young people, supporting communities, and giving back in Jonah’s name.
